Projects & Partnership

Shaping what’s possible though collaborations

The most complex challenges—like biodiversity loss, climate change, and access to food—cannot be solved alone. They require partnerships able to build upon the agricultural solutions that are already working, and to find new ones.

At Bayer, we have leading research and development capabilities in plant breeding, biotechnology, chemistry, and data science, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions to farmers faster than ever before. We collaborate with external partners large and small so we can pursue progress for farmers, consumers, and our planet.

Bayer Kubo

Located in different sites across the country, the Bayer Kubo is a venue built with NGO partners for communities to grow vegetable crops and train residents on how to adopt sustainable agricultural practices. Inspired by the lines of the traditional folk song Bahay Kubo, it’s a space where residents and community members can grow a variety of vegetables to meet the needs of their community.

Drone Project

Artificial intelligence-driven drones have started revolutionizing Philippines’ rice farming. Bayer Crop Science (BCS) completed a “drone seeding” demonstration in Paniqui, Tarlac in partnership with the Carlos Cojuangco Foundation Inc and New Hope Corporation. In this demonstration, drone significantly eliminated costly and time-consuming labor in rice planting.
